International Society of Typographic Designers (ISTD Ltd) is the organiser of ISTD Typographic Awards.
By submitting an Entry to the Awards each person, company or organisation agrees to these Terms and Conditions.
Each Entry must be work produced in response to a genuine brief and commission; and have been published and approved by the client; and have been published for the first time between 1 January 2009 and 30 April 2011; and complies with all relevant laws and regulations of the region in which it was first published; and be submitted without any alterations from the work published; and has not already been entered into the same category by another Entrant.
Concept design or work created solely for the purpose of entering the Awards does not qualify for entry.
Entrants should ensure that all work, in whatever media submitted, is of good quality, as entries will be judged on the quality of the work actually submitted, and ISTD is under no obligation to request alternative or replacement work.
ISTD reserves the right to withdraw Entries that are not submitted in a suitable format for viewing; and to move Entries to more appropriate Categories if considered necessary, without informing the Entrant; however it is not the responsibility of ISTD to amend Entries or move them to different Categories if they have been entered incorrectly.
Entries concerning an integrated campaign should comprise at least three different media (e.g. poster, brochure and website).
Entrants must ensure that Entries arrive by the delivery deadline as defined by ISTD. ISTD reserves the right to exclude Entries that are not received by the delivery deadline.
Entries will NOT be returned. Under special circumstances ISTD will make available for collection Entries that are specifically requested to be returned at time of submission. ISTD cannot in any circumstance accept responsibility for any loss of or damage to Entries.
An Entry is not considered to be an Entry until full payment is received by ISTD. Work that has not been paid for will not be submitted for judging. Entrants must ensure that all delivery costs and custom fees are fully paid before items arrive at ISTD. Any items sent to ISTD without delivery fees will not be accepted. The shipping invoice should be clearly marked 'Competition Material – No Commercial Value'. The value indicated should be purely nominal.
ISTD cannot be held responsible for items damaged or lost in transit.
The ISTD Typographic Awards jury is comprised of judges who in ISTD's sole discretion have the appropriate experience and qualifications to judge the Entries. Judges will consider all Entries on the basis of the actual materials supplied to ISTD, and on the criteria in ISTD's judging guidelines and rules for the ISTD Typographic Awards. The jury will be made aware of the Awards Rules and will consider whether Entries comply.
In the event that there is a query on the eligibility of an Entry, where practical, the Entrant will be asked to provide evidence or further information to demonstrate the Entry's eligibility, until such time ISTD reserves the right to suspend the Entry concerned from the Awards; or to remove an Entry from the Awards at any stage if not fully satisfied that the Entry is eligible and the Awards Rules have been followed. ISTD is under no obligation to refund entry payments.
Judging will take place June 2011.
ISTD Awards judges may not submit work to the Awards.
It is essential that ISTD be informed if the main submission contact person changes. It is the Entrant's responsibility to ensure the accuracy of all information supplied including any updated contact details, to ensure that successful entrants are informed of the results.

For all successful entries the credits provided with the submission will be used in the ISTD Awards publication.
