When is the deadline to enter?
The ISTD International Typographic Awards 2011 are now closed for entries. The deadline for entry packages to be received by the ISTD c/o POKE is Thursday 2 June 2011.
Who can enter?
You do not need to be a member of ISTD to enter. The ISTD Awards are international and we welcome entries from any country.
What work is accepted?
Any piece of work that has typography as an integral part of the design solution and has been published between 1 January 2009 and 30 April 2011.
How much does it cost to enter?
ISTD members – £65.00 per entry
Non members – £85.00 per entry
What categories can I enter?
What methods of payment are accepted?
Any printed item must be submitted as an original piece with the exception of work larger than DIN A0 and 3D or interiors etc, for which we accept pictures, boards and/or videos.
All interactive work must be submitted on CD/DVD or via the URL, e.g. for websites. It is the entrant’s responsibility to ensure the links are live by the time of judging. ISTD will not refund any fees for an entry it is not able to view for any reason.
What credits do I need to supply?
The entry form allows you to put in any relevant credits. Please ensure the correct information is provided as you will not be able to change them once you have paid.
How do I send work from outside the UK?
Mark all international packages as ‘Competition material – no commercial value’.
If you need to indicate the value of the goods you are shipping, use a token value, for example £1 per entry. Ensure all shipping costs and customs fees are paid before sending your package. This will avoid entries being held up in customs or refused at our offices because of extra shipping costs.
How will I know if my package has arrived?
You will NOT be notified when we receive your package, but you will be notified if we do not receive the corresponding package to your online entry form.
Will my work get returned?
Work will NOT be returned but may be collected if specifically requested at the time of entry.
